For a relaxing experience, treat yourself to a beautiful henna design created in the comfort of your own home. Why not share the experience with a friend or two? Get together with the girls and enjoy the opportunity to be pampered.

We have a large selection of designs to choose from or you may wish to provide your own. All artwork is applied freehand and designs are priced individually. The cost depends on the size and detail of the design. As a guide a small - medium size design, similar to the one pictured on the right, would cost $40 requiring a 25 minute appointment.

Henna is also a fantastic way to try out a design before committing to a permanent ink tattoo.

Please contact us to book a private appointment.

Our workshops provide a fun ‘hands on’ experience using natural henna as a body art.  Our product is safe and temporary and the workshop content is suitable for participants aged 12 years to adult.

We teach people about what it is, where it comes from, as well as it’s history and traditions from many countries around the world.  We show techniques on how to prepare and apply the henna and those in the group will have plenty of opportunity to apply henna body art to themselves or each other.  Worksheets are provided to enable participants to learn about the basic design principles.  Your Henna Moon Artist will also apply a design to each person so that individuals can see the process up close and have the time to ask questions.  It’s a very relaxed and casual environment.

Henna Moon currently runs regular activities with schools, community groups and the general public. They have shown to be very popular, particularly with teenagers and women’s groups. A two or four hour workshop for a group of 8 -12 people, can be held at your choice of location such as a school or community centre. Larger groups can also be accommodated with the assistance of a second Henna Moon artist or one of your own volunteers such as a teacher or group leader.

Please contact us if you would like to incorporate our workshop into your future programs. We are flexible to suit your requirements and can provide a quote which is inclusive of all demonstration materials, henna supplies and travel fees (applicable only for locations outside of Exmouth, WA).

Henna art is an important part of tradition in many parts of the world, particularly India, the Middle East, North Africa and South East Asia. A fun way to introduce students to the customs of these eastern cultures is to have a henna artist visit the class to give a talk and demonstration about the traditions of henna.

Students have lots of opportunity to ask questions as well as having the option to receive a small henna design to complete the experience.

In many eastern countries it is customary to apply henna to the bride-to-be in the days leading up to the wedding ceremony. The female family members and friends gather together to share stories, sing songs and generally give support to the bride-to-be as she prepares for marriage. The henna is an important aspect of a wedding as it symbolises the love between a bride and groom.

Designs are traditionally applied to the hands and feet however for those who prefer a more subtle alternative, how about a discreet henna design to surprise your husband on your wedding night?

Baby Showers are made all the more special with the inclusion of henna art. Adorning the belly with henna patterns is a traditional way to bless the mother and unborn baby in preparation for the birth. A simple recipe of pure henna powder, fresh lemon juice and a touch of lavender essential oil will create a safe, natural henna paste suitable for use during pregnancy.

Henna designs can range from a small simple pattern to a very detailed piece which covers the entire area of the belly. It is also a fantastic opportunity to capture a photograph of the design to have as a keepsake. The expectant mother is also able to take some time out for much needed relaxation while the henna works it’s magic.
